SEND Family Support’s Activity Clubs

Originating from 2 mums caring for SEND children, one of which is also a volunteer with SEND Family Support, who have struggled to find such a service suitable for their children. They approached SEND Family Support and we of course wanted to help as when there is an obvious need we will always give as much support as possible!

The 2 mums are now both volunteers and will run the club with our full support, giving their children a much needed place to go, learn new skills after school hours while meeting other children and young adults. Meanwhile the parents can also meet other SEND Parents for a chat and to find out what services maybe available for their Families from SEND Family Support and other organisations too.

The Activity Clubs will be held on Fridays from 6pm to 7pm, at Northwood Methodist Church, 30 Oaklands Gate, Northwood, HA6 3AA. There is Free Parking available.

The club is for For children & young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (accompanied by their parents and or carers), and there will be different activities every week delivered by experts (some listed below), along with other SEND activities being available too. As always with SEND Family Support Events there will be advice on services and support available for parents and carers.

Please note – The Activity Club will normally take place on Fridays during school term times.  We are all responsible for our own children on the day. More information including rules & guidance, forthcoming dates and scheduled activities is available on our website and on social media.
