I am a proud husband & father of 3 boys and carer for 2 of them that have Autism. Since becoming a Carer I have found there was a need to give more support to families caring for children with any disabilities as so many carers I have met since have plenty of questions and very little answers. So I made it my mission to start to find answers not just for myself but for other carers so that we can have more time to care for our children instead of searching for the answers.
I founded Hillingdon DADS in September 2015 initially to support Dads caring for children with SEND, and other years we started to run events for families caring for children with SEND designed for the children and their siblings to have fun and or relax while their parents can find info along with meeting and speaking to other carers to find the answers they may need to help support their family units. Hillingdon DADS has now changed their name to SEND Family Support when we became a Charity in September 2019.
